The cattle ranchers are part of a group that clears millions of acres for the developing and selling of cows and bulls. They say that the meat brings lots of money to brazil, that is true, but is not enough to replace the many miles of rainforest that has been destroy by them. Researchers found that more than 80% of the amazon was sold for their cattle to graze. In 2008 the ranchers brought in more than 3 million dollars that helped pay some of brazils debt off. The wildlife will eventually grow back but after many years the loggers will come back to chop the trees down. In 1960 brazil gave at least 60 million acres to the cattle ranchers to bring much wealth to them.
